To restart KDE on Linux, run systemctl –user restart plasma-plasmashell in the terminal. You can instead run systemctl restart sddm, but the problem with that command is that you’ll get logged out because you’re restarting SDDM and not just KDE. This also means that unsaved stuff is lost if you restart SDDM. Thanks for reading!
